MISSION
programs can’t change a city—but God’s presence can.
who we are
pray.la is a prayer and worship movement for and through the local church, centered on Jesus and His Church. We exist to see a unified expression of Christ’s Church across Los Angeles, seeking transformation through God’s relational presence in prayer.
We believe revival does not begin with strategy or personality, but with God’s people humbly seeking Him together. Los Angeles has a rich history of awakening and renewal, and we believe God is not finished. Through corporate prayer and worship, shared vision, and collaborative ministry, we are contending for another move of the Spirit in our time and place—one no single church could produce alone.
If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land. —2 Chronicles 7:14

how we pray together
what is a
praying church?
A praying church is one where prayer is the heartbeat of everything, not an optional activity. It depends on God more than programs and believes His presence and power are essential for life and mission. In short, a praying church seeks God first, depends on Him always, and believes nothing of eternal significance happens without prayer.

10 characteristics
why should we
pray together?
We believe the Church is strongest when it prays in unity. United prayer reflects biblical unity, shared mission, and the strength of diverse churches seeking God together. As we pray, individual burdens become shared burdens, faith is renewed, spiritual strongholds are confronted, and the gospel bears public witness.
-
Jesus prayed that His followers would be one. United prayer demonstrates that the Body of Christ is larger than any one congregation.

10 simple reasons
“We don’t need one praying church, we need thousands of praying churches.” – Jon Tyson
our values
01
rooted in
scripture
God’s Word is our foundation. We are formed by Scripture—reading it, praying it, and living it—so that our lives and prayers are shaped by His truth and aligned with His heart.
02
unity across
the church
We believe the Church is strongest together. Across traditions, backgrounds, and expressions, we pursue unity—believing that a united praying Church is unstoppable.
03
humility
and love
We choose the way of humility. We honor one another, lay down preference, and partner in love—believing that how we walk together matters as much as what we do.
04
presence
centered
We seek to be with God first, before asking for anything. God is a relational God, and our first priority in prayer is simply to be with Him and bless Him.
05
unhurried
rhythms
We slow down to make space for God’s presence. In a hurried world, we cultivate attentive, unforced rhythms—learning to linger with Him and move at His pace.
